 Converts Lead Bloons to GOLD! Special solvents do extra damage to Lead Bloons, destroying them in one shot and generating cash.

Lead to Gold is the Alchemist's path 3 tier 3 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants all of the Alchemist's damaging attacks +9 Lead damage, allowing them to destroy Lead Bloons (including Fortified ones) in one shot. The Alchemist's damage-over-time effects are also granted this increased Lead damage.
Coating a Lead Bloon with Lead to Gold and then popping it will earn an extra $50 in addition to the normal pop income. This additional income is not affected by external buffs such as Monkey City.

Lead to Gold is primarily used for siphoning up cash from Lead Bloons. There are very few rounds that contain Lead Bloons, however, but good in ABR rounds and outstanding specifically for Rounds 37 and 38 and on Dreadbloon Boss Events, which contain modified rounds that spawn far more Leads than usual. Lead to Gold (along with its upgrade Rubber to Gold, which is harder to get down at the start due to its cost) is the most effective way to farm in Rogue Legends rounds, as normal farms are nerfed and the rounds are modified to contain many more leads than usual. Early on there are more odd rounds with leads than even rounds with leads.

Lead to Gold hasn’t been a competitive 3rd tier outside of special game modes and challenges, so we’ve added some more uniqueness by allowing it to truly live up to its description and deal enough damage to instantly ‘convert’ a Lead Bloon, children layers and all, also carrying on some value here in the later game by allowing this bonus to deal extra against DDTs as well.
