Bloon Redirect is an Advanced Power card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 4.0. It steals a Bloon with up to 150 Health from the opponent's side and moves it to the player's side, and increases that Bloon's delay by 2.
If the player already has all 8 Bloon slots filled, then Bloon Redirect will instead delete the Bloon it is used on. If this Bloon has On Play effects then these effects will trigger again. The stolen Bloon is considered to be owned by the stealer; using Return to Sender will return the card to them instead. Bloons that derive from the Storm do not count as being played by the player (e.g. Double Trouble's Bloontonium gains, Quests).
Tips
This section was last updated for: version 5.1
- Bloon Redirect is the Bloon version of Expert Negotiator but costs Bloontonium instead of Gold. However, due to the 150 HP limit, Bloon Redirect is better in aggro mirrors, and for midrange and control is only viable in a deck for stealing The Eternal and virtually nothing else.
- Like with affording Expert Negotiator, be careful not to spend too much Bloontonium that defending (or performing combos for Amelia) would become detrimental.
- Most players bring Bloon Redirect with the intention of stealing powerful Unique Bloons, especially The Eternal and ARBITR, or as a Bloon removal that doesn't cost Gold.
- Before stealing these Bloons, do damage on them first, particularly Eternal.
- Bloon Redirect increases Bloon delay, making it harder for the affected Bloon to leak before the opponent is able to send more Bloons to overwhelm. This won't matter on The Eternal or any Bloon that is Immobile.
- It's important to note that many Large Bloons will not be able to be stolen due to their large health and Redirect's health cap. Some Advanced Bloons begin with more than 150 HP, but all Basic Bloons begin with 150 HP or less.
- The Eternal when ramped will have a hard time being stolen due to extreme health.
- Damaged MOAB in particular is not recommended to be stolen as it will effectively pop itself after redirecting.
Update history
Description changed ― "Target Bloon switches to your side. Increase its delay by 2." → "Target Bloon switches to your side. Increase its delay by 2" (undocumented)
Added condition that the target Bloon must have 150 or less Health
Description changed ― Target Bloon switches to your side. Increase its delay by 1 → Target Bloon with 150 or less Health switches to your side. Increase its delay by 1
No longer causes Golden Blimp to gain its extra health per Gold spent again (bug fix)
