Extreme

Extreme is a map difficulty in the mobile version of Bloons TD 4 and Bloons TD 5. It is the hardest map difficulty, above Expert.

Bloons TD 4 (mobile)

Unlike other games, in BTD 4 Mobile, extreme maps are unlocked by paying $2 USD in value, but can be attempted as many times as the player wants without any other fees.

Bloons TD 5

In Bloons TD 5, Extreme tracks require a small Monkey Money fee per attempt. On the Flash version of Bloons TD 5 and in Bloons TD 5 Deluxe, this fee is determined by the map, while in the mobile version and console version, the fee is always 50 Monkey Money.

Big portions of Rank XP (Awesome Points on the Flash Version, and improved Monkey Money amounts on Deluxe) are rewarded instead of the typical rewards for beating maps. On the Flash and Deluxe versions, the XP and Awesome point amounts also vary depending on the map and is not reduced if the corresponding medal is owned. On the mobile and console versions, this is always set to 50000 for Easy, 100000 for Medium, 150000 for Hard, and 200000 for Impoppable, reduced by 1/5th of the value if the player already owns the corresponding Medal for that extreme map.
