The Ninja Monkey is a monkey in the Bloons TD series, introduced in Bloons TD 5. It has innate camo detection in all of its game appearances and almost always uses shurikens to pop the bloons.
Gameplay
Ninja Monkeys throw shurikens that pop several Bloons each, and always detect Camos. It has upgrades that increase the number of shurikens per second, pop more Bloons, or add special attacks or abilities that help other Ninjas (starting from Bloons TD 6) or sabotage Bloons.
In Bloons TD 5, the top path focuses on increased efficiency of shurikens, and the bottom path focuses on guerilla tactics to pursue and sabotage the Bloons. Most top path upgrades increased the number of shurikens per second, except one upgrade which only increases pierce. The bottom path allows shurikens to seek and have a chance to blow away Bloons, occasionally throw flash bombs that stun Bloons, and slow down incoming Bloons. Its Specialty Building in BTD5 is the Ninja Academy, while its main buildings in Bloons Monkey City are the Ninja Abode and Ninja Dojo.
Starting from Bloons TD 6, the middle path becomes the guerilla tactics path, which additionally includes stripping Camo properties, buffing the attack speed and pierce of nearby Ninjas, and cutting health of incoming MOAB-Class Bloons. The bottom path becomes the tactical weapons path, with shurikens that seek, and additional weapons including caltrops, flash bombs, and sticky bombs.
