The Glue Gunner's basic attack shoots a glob of glue at a rate of 1 per second. The glob has 2 pierce (1 in the Flash version) and inflicts a glue effect on contact that causes Bloons to move 50% slower, lasting for 11.43 seconds or until its outer layer is popped, whichever comes first. In the Flash version only, it does not slow Ceramic Bloons, but it still inflicts damage over time if upgraded to Corrosive Glue or above. It cannot target or hit Camo Bloons, MOAB-Class Bloons, or Bloons that are already glued.
In the multiplatform version only, Glue Gunners with tier 3 and tier 4 upgrades can target and glue MOAB-Class Bloons, but with reduced effectiveness. They can also target and glue Bloons that are already afflicted with regular glue (from tier 0, tier 1, and tier 2 Glue Gunners, Temples with the glue sacrifice, Monkey Glue, Lots of Glue, Monkey Acid, and Glue Storm), though they still cannot target or glue Bloons that already have tier 3 glue. If the tier 3 glue is applied after the regular glue, then it replaces the regular glue, but if the regular glue is applied after the tier 3 glue, their slowing and damage over time effects stack. Tier 0, tier 1, and tier 2 Glue Gunners cannot target or apply regular glue to Bloons with tier 3 glue, but the Track Powers and Temples can. Blowback does not remove tier 3 glue, unlike regular glue.

The Glue Gunner still doesn't see as much use as we'd like and we think a sticking point is its lack of popping power compared to other towers at a similar price point. We've lowered the cost of some of its most useful upgrades to hopefully make it a more viable tower choice. — Update notes
