Mountain Terrain is a type of Terrain in Bloons Monkey City. Favoring the Ice Monkey and restricting most aerial towers, this alpine terrain type is one of the more common areas in the game.

Tracks

Note: due to a lack of distinct official names, this article uses popular community-created names for these tracks for the sake of familiarity.

Hallmarks of the tracks of this terrain type include varied elevation, relatively little water, and cosmetic snow coverage on certain areas. The tracks use a grey color scheme. Variety in map layouts is almost always provided by either long curves or acute angles, with not a single right angle to be seen.

Bloons enter the map from the south on a piece of elevated terrain before spiraling clockwise for two rotations to an exit in the north. The short gaps between the layers of the spiral support towers with small ranges.

True to its name, the track goes across the screen in a roundabout way that varies massively on small scales. The area to the north of the path is the cliff of a plateau, while the area to the south has lower elevation and features a lake that the path bends around.

Strategy

This strategy section is empty or incomplete.
See the strategy guidelines for more information on how to write strategy sections.

Mountains Terrains are relatively easy due to being quite long and lacking multiple lanes. The cheaper Ice (especially Ice Shards) offsets most of the difficulty of losing the other restricted towers, especially because most tracks have corners well-suited for Ice. However, most long-ranged defense is restricted, which encourages limited range towers instead. The lack of Farm should instead be substituted by Supply Drop farming in later rounds, which is aided by the lack of multiple lanes and having better Ice spots.
