This is a list of tips from Cuber that appear on the loading screens in Bloons Adventure Time TD. This list is presented in their internal ordering.

Standard hints

  • There are 5 categories of rarity. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, and Epic.
  • You can convert your duplicate or unwanted items into shards. Use these to get more wish orbs!
  • Each character can use 1 of the 6 types of weapon: Swords, Instruments, Wands, Darts, Bombs and Guns.
  • Weapons can have lots of different effects, from simple stat boosts to powerful activated abilities!
  • Instrument weapons don't just power up their holder, but all the characters nearby too!
  • Some trinkets will only unlock their full potential in certain conditions, such as being held by a specific character.
  • Characters can hold 3 trinkets at once. They can hold more once they reach higher star levels.
  • A character can't hold 2 of the same trinket, but you can always equip duplicate trinkets to other characters.
  • Don't forget your allies! Having a few extra hands on the battlefield can really turn the tide of a game.
  • Allies come in all shapes and sizes. Some can fly, float on water, or even be placed directly onto the track!
  • Some allies, like the Dart Monkey, come in groups. You can have several of them on the battlefield at once.
  • Some character upgrades can only be bought under certain conditions, such as another character being nearby.
  • Supermonkey's Sun God upgrade is the most powerful attack in the game, and the most expensive.
  • Increase the star level of your character by collecting enough of their special item from chests.
  • Cosmic Essence is a magical substance that can be used to level up any character.
  • PB can slow bloons by coating them in bubblegum. She's most effective if placed near the start of the track.
  • You can place Ice King on land, water, or lava.
  • Characters will get more powerful as they reach higher star levels. They'll get something extra special if they reach 10 stars.
  • Some upgrades will only unlock when the character reaches a certain star level.
  • Camo bloons are very sneaky. Your characters will need special upgrades or items to be able to see them.
  • Watch out for Regrow Bloons! These heart shaped bloons will grow back layers if not popped quickly.
  • Many weapons will bounce right off the hard shell of Lead Bloons. Try using special attacks like explosives or fire.
  • MOABs are big, slow and extremely tough. If even one of them gets through its an instant game over!
  • Ceramic bloons have tough outer layers. You'll need to chip away at them to reach the weaker bloons inside.
  • Don't let your guard down around a Zombie Bloon (BATTD)|zombie bloon]]. It might come back to bite you!
  • Black Bloon (BATTD)|Black]] and zebra bloons can't be damaged by explosives.
  • Purple bloons can't be hurt by energy attacks such as fire, lasers or magic.
  • Bloons with metal bands round them have been fortified. They'll take twice as much damage to pop.
  • Ghost bloons can't be hurt by physical objects like darts or swords. Try using other damage types like fire or ice.
  • You can freeze bloons solid to stop them in their tracks, but some attacks won't be able to damage them while they're frozen.
  • Include some high cost characters, like Super Monkey, in your party to deal with powerful bloons found in later rounds.
  • Include some low cost characters, like Finn, in your party that you'll be able to afford to place during the earlier rounds.
  • Some maps have hidden bonuses! Can you find them?
  • You can sell characters you've placed to get back 70% of the money you spent on them.
  • Damage is the amount of layers an attack will pop in a single hit.
  • Pierce is the number of different bloons an attack can hit.
  • The amount of cash you start a game with increases with your level.
  • Tap and hold on items and upgrades to see their description (iOS / Android)

  • Using a well timed power can make the difference between success and failure.
  • You can only bring 8 different powers with you into a game, but you can always buy more if you run out.
  • Your powers will get more effective as your level increases.

  • Your characters will attack the bloons automatically. Just drag them onto the map and let them do their stuff!
  • If you change your mind about where to place a character, you can sell them from their upgrade menu.
  • The circle around a character shows their range. Make sure to place them close enough to the track that they can reach the bloons!
  • You can tap and hold on upgrades to see what they do. (iOS / Android)

  • You can use the gold coins from chests to buy more powers. Rarer powers are more expensive.
  • Complete all the maps in an adventure to unlock an Adventure Chest full of awesome rewards!
  • Beat the highest round to take the throne and start earning Martian Crystals
  • Spend Crystals at the Martian Trader. You can use them to buy epic loot, exclusive items and even premium characters.
  • You'll earn crystals by sitting on the Throne even if you close the game. You won't lose crystals if it gets captured while you're away.
  • You can only sit on the throne for a maximum of 8 hours at a time before you need to capture it again.
  • The Martian Trader's items will change every 2 weeks. Keep an eye out for your favorite loot.
  • The Martian Games can have all sorts of crazy rules, from just banning certain characters to having them change places between rounds.
  • You can only generate a maximum of $10,000 per round during Martian Games from other sources like upgrades and items. You will always get cash from bloon pops.
