Hi. You might realize I'm that guy who uses the Tx/Mx/Bx notation for crosspathing. I'm stating for the record that it has shown the expected signs of having better coherence to people unfamiliar with the game.

I have my own YouTube channel here.

How I found Blooncyclopedia during early access

[edit | edit source]

Long story short, my stumbling upon Blooncyclopedia has to do with my research on Rosalia and how she is balanced as well as the community's thoughts on her.

For some 9 months, I was turned off from the Bloons community thoroughly because of some ugly politics I will cover in another section further details. It was on June 2, 2024 when a user named Taiga posted a video about his feelings on Version 43, with the section about Rosalia starting at 2:58 of the video. He expressed that Rosalia doesn't feel like she can manage a uniquely useful role with what she has right now. Now at the point of that video being uploaded, it was a few days prior when I had already taken Rosalia for a spin and saw her prove to be promising by reliably soloing Round 40 with Flight Charge and bolstering towers like Super Monkey Fan Club with breathing room, but I didn't do anything active before I saw Taiga's video. Once I did, I would come to output my own video showcasing why I already understood Rosalia to be top-heavy on the laser weapon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvkS_0Rny4k I would still come to look further into the complaints, especially when FlareBloons after the initial hype similarly expressed his recognizing Rosalia to be undertuned. My own opinion about Rosalia's balancing would come to become increasingly more mixed. Reliably pushing back the Round 98 MOABs with convenient positioning is still uniquely useful, but I would think a Hero who involves micro to a suitable degree would be competent against DDTs. To be fair, Flight Boost is solid against DDTs, WITH heavy support to make use of the laser's awesome pushback. Otherwise, Rosalia can't target them without external support, or damage them halfway decently without MIB or Embrittlement, to which stuff like this is making clear how there's significantly less Black property nullification (only Striker Jones, Embrittlement, and MIB really involving that) than there is Camo or Lead property nullification.

I have a whole host of efforts researching how Rosalia plays out on my YouTube channel. Considering she has a vibrant personality, I was bound to say something to say the least. When all is said and done, I am wanting her to prove to live up to the promise that she has shown, and not just as a Flying Fortress gimmick.

Eventually, I would come to recognize that Adrenaline Rush has not been actively discussed, despite it being the only involved benefit for THREE Level Ups. As a result of this and how hard to notice Adrenaline Rush has proven to be, I would come to do research and look for discussion about it. Since there wasn't much discussion, Rosalia's page on Blooncyclopedia would end up being an early search engine result. So here I am.

The concept of Blooncyclopedia in and of itself

[edit | edit source]

What I welcome about Blooncyclopedia where it stands is that it provides stats from internal data. It's very stellar to know all the parameters that the game uses, so as to know what to reference when talking about things like the game's balance. It's really helpful for underscoring points I want to make, such as how Spy Plane can feel like a gimmick for a tier 2 upgrade from only boosting performance against Camos and thus doing nothing to help against the 80s as a whole, hurting Flying Fortress's crosspath decision involvement for longer-term gameplay. Other resources do exist, but Blooncyclopedia tables the provided information nicely, although I would welcome Center Justify involvement and stronger organizing for stats such as Spiked Mines which has different "attacks" that can be put into a tree of sorts.

I would further like to state that I make my own resources with Google Sheets for multiple other games to handle data analysis. Here are a few examples:

It is worth mentioning that the Super Mario RPG speedrun admin pidgezero_one has stated on the Super Mario RPG Speedrun Discord that she wants to create a Super Mario RPG Wiki. I would welcome that notion in the interest of providing my own contributions based on what I have researched in the midst of my own efforts with my own Self Imposed Challenge. It would also be great in making a Wiki for Kid Icarus Uprising that would be in better hands. And of course, the Nintendo Wars Wiki on Miraheze (Nintendo Wars being the franchise covering Advance Wars and Battalion Wars) would similarly welcome sprucing up while being outside the control of one Magnus "Mangs" Hestveen and his supporters--more on that soon enough.

Of course, despite in analysis and hard numbers, as well as the point that I'm the one who did the trope workshop entry for the trope "Savvy Guy Energetic Girl", here with Blooncyclopedia, I'm ultimately involving a current role of being the one to bring up the points of community and social aspects. I for one would definitely welcome a Blog feature being available here to output my own points about the balancing, and that is inevitably subjective. Personally, I would prefer the role of encouraging healthy socialization be in more suitable hands for that task than mine, but Blooncyclopedia is not in a stage where people are available for that. At the very least, however, I did spruce up Rosalia's page, especially the Strategy section, in hopes of establishing a better standard for Hero page quality outside the very statistics I was looking for.

Still, I do welcome being able to have a better resource, one that would be outside the control of problematic figures.

As I can't fit in everything I want to say here, you might have good questions. Chase the answers and maybe you'll find the truth.

I have my own story to provide about Fandom, to make a showcase that Fandom has more problems than involving ad bloat. Namely that they will butt in on a single community's politics and enforce draconian punishments based on their "standards" that you could claim Light Yagami from Death Note to have.

What sets the stage with the community politics? Well, you might remember that I brought up about a person named "Mangs." Long story short, "Mangs" involved a whole host of mistreatment of women, most notably manipulating a woman into an isolated situation where he sexually assaulted her while she was asleep. Here are the key resources for how you can learn about all of this:

Unfortunately, these efforts have been insufficient at suppressing "Mangs"' power, and instead, "Mangs" not only has maintained a significant presence with Fire Emblem content on YouTube, but has also monopolized Advance Wars content. The Advance Wars subreddit claims that they in no way endorse "Mangs", but they have consistently allow conceited attempts at subtlety in advertising content from "Mangs" to remain unchallenged. This is a meme by "Mangs" (corroborated by TVTropes.org's forum topic about the Nintendo Wars series) that was left alone. What we have ended up with is a 127K subscriber sexual assailant whose power fantasy is being an emperor with min-maxed stats overseeing gladiator fights, being the face of Advance Wars.

In case you haven't seen, I had made my own efforts to combat "Mangs" and this is keeping in mind that things like MasaeAnela's disloyalty to ChuggaaConroy and the false accusations against Vic Mignogna are things I call out to begin with--I have reason to believe the accusations against "Mangs" where the ones against ChuggaaConroy and Vic Mignogna scream their accusers being attention-seeking theater kids. Unfortunately, I have been subject to slander, especially bolstered by a "Mangs" supporter who faked seeing the error of his ways TWICE with said supporter even going on to defame Mekkah (the author of the Mangs & July 2020 video) by creating a YouTube video building off the false accusations of exploitative conduct by Mekkah with "evidence" (the Advance Wars subreddit also signal-boosts this known faker at that), and while going into detail has the issue that this is a cross-site problem, it inevitably leaked into Fandom when I called out all the corruption more actively in an additional blog post, just for Fandom to delete the blog post and block me from ALL OF THEIR NETWORK for a full month. OVER A SINGLE COMMUNITY'S POLITICS.

Additionally worth noting is that the aforementioned supporter, in the later case of his remorse faking, confessed to pulling the vandalism attacks on my userpage on the Advance Wars Wikia. I'd be willing to share the Web Archive link to this vandalism confession with somebody I can more actively trust. Fandom ignores this much because allegedly, what I was doing was "harassment", the very same thing I was calling out the Fire Emblem community in general doing against me 4 days before "Mangs" was outed for his abuses.

I mention about "Mangs" now over reasons that resulted from when I attempted to suggest for Bloons Wiki on their Discord to move off of Fandom. I initially didn't because I did not wish to intrude on the Bloons community with this inevitable mess, but honestly, I was told to present evidence and what I provided was allegedly insufficient. One of the admins on the Bloons Wiki Discord then showed INCREDIBLE hostility toward me as well, including clear language usage, and even subjected me to a case of Psychological Projection in the midst of his ignoring my past input about topics involving BTD6. He's lucky I don't name him, because if I had brought up about my dealings with the "Mangs" mess, it would have broken his claims on the spot. He then proceeded to kick me off the Bloons Wiki Discord over claims against me that he had to have known were bull anyway.

Something I can point out is that the Bloons community has a track record of needless elitism, something that FlareBloons thankfully brings up on repeat occasion. Hopefully, Blooncyclopedia can provide a fresh start that can combat that and these other problems that I bring up. It just has to make sure it doesn't become robotic, is all.

Bluesky arbitrary suspension

[edit | edit source]
Apparently, you can ban-evade on a new enough site just by registering at all the very day you even heard of it.

Around 6 AM PST on August 25, 2024, I saw that Blooncyclopedia had a link to their Bluesky account. I registered on Bluesky, wanting an actually halfway workable alternative to Twitter, but after making a couple of comments to test the waters, both of which involved me calling out "Mangs" for sexual assault, I was suddenly suspended, and at 7:04 AM PST, I received an email detailing why: allegedly, I had a previous account taken down for "harassment" and stricken with a permanent ban for that. This is a false accusation of ban evasion. At 7:11 AM PST, I sent my response, where I call out not only the ban evasion accusation, but the "harassment" accusation as well because I've been hit by that repeatedly by the supporters of "Mangs" who as I point out have already harassed ME. I determined from the latter that a human would have had to have been responsible and likely would still have been around for a response that was provided in less than 10 minutes, so at 7:34 AM PST, about 20 minutes after, I send another response making it clear that either they provide an acceptable reply by Noon PST, which they failed to do; or I bring out this issue more actively for more people to find out about it. Believe me when I say that giving them 4 1/2 hours to respond was lenient

I will admit that my second comment was absolutely snarky to say the least, but the person I was commenting toward was a key provider of false accusations toward Vic Mignogna, and I was calling out the damage that her false accusations toward people like Vic Mignogna and ChuggaaConroy have caused in battling ACTUAL remorseless sexual assailants like "Mangs" by confusing everything about the issue. Bluesky didn't care to see things like that at all, and instead opted to just censor me on sight, which is hypocritical in their blatant political bias that screams involvement of the exact opposite problem from people like "Mangs". There's no other explanation for this at the point. If there was, then the "harassment" accusation would be more direct which could try to make sense, not mentioned in passing in a ban evasion claim with a new site.

Further making the ban evasion accusation even more asinine is that my first comment called out the character limit per comment being inherited from Twitter to begin with. I suppose it might be possible that I could have been faking being unpleasantly surprised about that, but the fact of the matter is that that's a QOL issue that should have been taken out at square one for its innate toxicity that's been called out in the past, and it was off the topic of what I was responding to, a comment that "Mangs" was deservedly outed, which I was too busy basically saying "hear hear" toward.

This general issue is worth bringing up because Blooncyclopedia created an account a Bluesky account and is advertising it, and I figure I would try out Bluesky as another potential way to communicate my points. That's not going to get anywhere. For this, I am exposing their behaviors here, and I hope that Blooncyclopedia will take notes that Bluesky is not a suitable Twitter replacement whatsoever for the reasons that I have outlined.
