Wingmonkey is a Military Monkey Knowledge upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants Monkey Aces a new Wingmonkey targeting option. When selected, Monkey Aces no longer fly in a set loop, and instead alternate between flying towards the first visible Bloon on the track, and then away from them after passing over. They fly in a similar manner to the aircraft of Aircraft Carrier.
Wingmonkey is a Military Monkey Knowledge upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It grants all Monkey Aces, including the Goliath Doomship, a new targeting option of the same name. Unlike other Monkey Ace targeting options, Wingmonkey does not have a predetermined path, instead causing Monkey Aces to chase the Bloons closest to exiting and attempt to fly over them. Monkey Aces set to Wingmonkey break up into groups of three when choosing areas to fly over. It uses different flight mechanics from Aircraft Carrier planes.

Wingmonkey is also available in Rogue Legends as an item in the Rogue XP Shop, costing 1,500 Rogue XP to unlock.

When set to Wingmonkey, the Monkey Ace's movement speed caps at 60 units per second, negating the extra speed of Fighter Plane and Rosalia's Flight Boost buff. This targeting option has three modes: chase, flyover, and random, each with its own flight pattern. It switches between modes automatically depending on the situation.
The Monkey Ace uses chase mode if there are any Bloons on-screen that it can target; it cannot target Camo Bloons unless it has Camo detection. It targets the Bloon closest to reaching an exit (similar to First targeting) and sets its target point to a short distance ahead of it on the track. In this mode, it constantly checks for a new target every 0.25 seconds.
When the Monkey Ace is in chase mode and within 40 units of the target point, it enters flyover mode. It sets the target point to 90 units away from the target Bloon (in the same direction and angle as the Monkey Ace at that moment) and stops updating its targeting. Once it comes within 30 units of the flyover target point, the flyover ends and it attempts to target a Bloon again. It is possible for a Monkey Ace to do multiple flyovers back-to-back if it chooses new targets that are within 40 units of itself.
If the Monkey Ace attempts to target a Bloon but cannot find one, it enters random mode. It targets a random point on the edge of a 100-unit radius centered on the middle of the map, but cannot choose points within a 100° cone in front of its current position, and stops updating its targeting. Once it comes within 30 units of the target point, it attempts to target a Bloon again.
If there are multiple Monkey Aces set to Wingmonkey, they break up into groups of three. The first Monkey Ace of each group acts as the leader and uses the above targeting, while the other two ignore is and always set their target points to be to the left and right of the leader's target point. These target points are always √500 units away from the leader's target; relative to the leader's current angle, the second target is 116.565° to the right of the leader's target, while the third target is 116.565° to the left.
The game keeps track of Wingmonkey groups using a list, in the order of when the Monkey Aces were set to Wingmonkey. If a player changes a Monkey Ace's targeting to something else, all Monkey Aces below it on the list move up one slot and change their role accordingly. For example, if a player changes the targeting of the second Monkey Ace from Wingmonkey, the third one becomes the second of the first group, the fourth one becomes the third of the first group, the fifth becomes the leader of the second group, and so on. If a player changes that Monkey Ace back to Wingmonkey, it goes at the bottom of the list like any other Monkey Ace.
