Fortified Bloon

The Fortified Bloon is a type of Bloon Mod in Bloons TD Battles 2. Bloons with this property have metal bands wrapped around them, taking more damage to destroy. This property can be applied to Lead Bloons, Ceramic Bloons and MOAB-Class Bloons. Fortified Bloons require more damage to pop than their non-fortified counterparts: Fortified Leads take 6 damage to pop, while fortified Ceramics and MOAB-class bloons take triple and twice as much damage to pop as their non-fortified counterparts, respectively.

When sent as a Bloon Mod, Fortified Bloons double the eco penalty on MOAB-class sends, while not changing eco by sending other Bloon sends.

Fortified properties have a similar or greater HP-to-cost ratio to their non-Fortified counterparts, making that extra HP worth it for getting through a defense that lacks single-target damage. It's more notable on MOAB-class rushes, but can still be used with success on Leads and Ceramics. As a general rule of thumb, a Fortified blimp is more cost-effective than two non-Fortified blimps, except versus blimp instakillers (e.g. Monkey Pirates) and towers that excel against single-target (e.g. First Strike Capability), and for tight rushes, which generally prefer spamming the rush for maximum pierce problems, except if it's Fortified DDTs.

For Ceramic rushes, it's effective for sneaking through round 18-19 rushes that focus too much on beating the early MOABs.
