Perishing Potions is one of few ways to cheaply strip the Fortified properties of Leads and Ceramics, as well as one of the cheapest ways to do high damage to specifically Fortified MOAB-class. However, it's expensive to spam, is not very efficient beyond the early-game, and does weak damage to anything but Fortified MOAB-class. [[Acid Pool (BTD6)|Acid Pool]]s can be a niche method against a single Fortified MOAB for cheap.

Perishing Potions is more often used as a crosspath to AMDs and T3+T4 brews so that the buffing uptime is extended. This often gives enough extra uptime on faster-attacking towers while the Alchemist itself can contribute a small amount of extra damage.
