White Hot Spikes is the Spike Factory's path 1 tier 2 upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It changes the damage type of newly placed spikes from sharp to normal, allowing them to pop Frozen and Lead Bloons.

Strategy

Despite its high cost simply changing damage type to pop Frozen and Lead, White Hot Spikes has practical use cases for countering DDTs and unshielded Dreadbloon (without Support immunities) without needing lead-popping supports. Gaining frozen-popping is niche, however White Hot Spikes avoids anti-synergy with freezing supports, such as Silas and Snowstorm. Because of its high cost, it's not advised as the only lead-popping against early Leads or Camo Leads, since other lead-popping options (e.g. Alchemist, 1-2-0 Sniper Monkey) are cheaper and more efficient.
