Rapid Reload is the Mortar Monkey's path 2 tier 1 upgrade in Bloons Monkey City. It reduces its attack cooldown by a flat 0.49 seconds, effectively increasing its attack speed by roughly 30% (roughly 37.4% if crosspathed with The Big One).

Strategy

Rapid Reload provides some much needed consistency to the Mortar, enough that it can pop every Lead Bloon on a single lane track, allowing other towers like Bloonjitsus to freely damage other Bloons. It can often be the sole lead popper on tiles that don't have DDTs (or on the multiplatform version of Bloons Monkey City, all Leads, as DDTs do not have lead property).
