The editor who added this notice elaborates: Where else can the player find Blops, and how else can they use them?

Blops are divided into three categories: red, blue, and gold.

  • Red Blops are earned by playing a level and collecting popped Bloons' blops for the first time. The player can use them to buy weapons and Epic Weapons.
  • Blue Blops are earned by replaying levels and collecting previously collected Blops. The player can use them for research and buying skins.
  • Gold Blops are earned from hitting and popping Golden Bloons, from hidden achievements, and from placing on the Endless Mine leaderboard. Each Gold Blop is worth 4 Red Blops and 4 Blue Blops.

Certain Powerups can affect the rate at which the player collects Blops. For instance, Blop Magnet expands the Blop collection radius, and Red Rush and Hidden Treasure convert all Blue Blops into Red Blops and all Blops into Gold Blops, respectively.
