Energy Beacon was the Monkey Village's initial path 1 tier 3 upgrade in the Flash version of Bloons TD 5. It was reworked into the similarly-named High Energy Beacon during a 2012 update, with its previous spot going to Monkey Town and the reworked upgrade moving to the final tier of the first path.
In an update in 2012, this upgrade was reworked into the tier 4 upgrade High Energy Beacon, which still reduces Activated Ability cooldowns, but also adds a laser attack and is more expensive. The previous tier 4 upgrade, Monkey Town, was moved into Energy Beacon's tier. Despite being reworked, in the mobile and console versions, High Energy Beacon is still named "Energy Beacon".

Energy Beacon worked similarly to its replacement, reducing Activated Ability cooldowns by 20%, but lacked the damaging laser on top of the village.

Energy Beacon was the Monkey Village's initial path 1 tier 3 upgrade in the Flash version of Bloons TD 5. It unlocked a buff that reduced the cooldowns of Activated Abilities for all towers in range by 20%.
