Monkey Teams is always active on one map per difficulty. Once a map is beaten in Monkey Teams, another map of the same difficulty becomes active with Monkey Teams. In addition, on 2/5/8/11 AM/PM UTC, the towers allowed by Monkey Teams changes for the active map on all difficulties. During the game, a Monkey Teams icon is on the background of each tower allowed by the event. If another tower is placed, the icon will be broken and the extra Monkey Teams award cannot be earned, even if the other tower is sold before the game ends. However, the medal and normal amount of Monkey Money can still be earned in this case, and backing out before the round where the other tower was placed ends will restore the Monkey Team and allow the award to eventually be earned.

Monkey Teams is an event in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 26.0. When playing on a map where Monkey Teams is active, as shown by the Monkey Teams icon with the 3 towers allowed, the player can choose to use only the Hero and allowed towers for extra Monkey Money.

The Monkey Teams event runs each week from early Monday to early Friday, alternating with Golden Bloon.

Mechanics

Rewards

When only the Hero and allowed towers are used on a map where Monkey Teams is active, extra Monkey Money rewards will be given. The extra reward depends on the map's difficulty and the round the game mode ends at.

Map difficulty Final round of game mode
40 60 80 100
Beginner 3 5 8 12
Intermediate 4 8 12 17
Advanced 6 12 17 23
Expert 12 17 23 30
