Spectre is an effective mid-game carry on many maps, particularly if it can focus its barrage consistently at Bloons. Unlike its previous upgrade, Neva-Miss Targeting, Spectre's rapid attack speed limits its synergy with Berserker Brew, however its attacks already have high enough base pierce and damage to reliably handle rounds 63, 76, and 78 on maps with reasonable track length. It still falls off in the late-game, despite its bonuses to Ceramics, taking many hits to destroy Super Ceramics and the barrage often wasting shots chasing strays, though the improved Neva-Miss darts are strong enough to handle a few of them. As the barrage always targets First, it is recommended that the Spectre flies ahead of the Bloons.
Top crosspaths are preferred, which improve its DPS, and gaining bonus Neva-Miss darts with greater damage is worth the investment even at T4. 0-2-4, outside of challenges that require the Camo crosspath, is only beneficial on Race Events and CT Time Attack, as the Exploding Pineapple crosspath offers much more pierce on its bombs than the overall attack speed and projectile bonuses.
