I can't quite explain it quite perfectly but I think that Pops Fired is a reference to the phrase "shots fired", as in the one where, contextually, a person made a perfect insult to another person. Can't find a sentence used locally in my country to refer to that slang phrase but I heard people say "shots fired" somewhere online... Shots Fired
