Banana Plantation is a type of Banana Farm that typically consists of multiple banana palms neighboring each other. It tends to be much stronger at making income compared to the ordinary Farm, which has only one banana palm. Introduced in Bloons TD 4 with the release of Banana Farm, the role of the Banana Plantation has changed throughout the series. By the Bloons TD 6 Generation, it replaces the role that Banana Republic previously held in earlier generations.
Gameplay
Introduced in Bloons TD 4, the Banana Plantation started off as the second income-boosting upgrade of the Banana Farm, as indicated by the greater quantity of banana palms within the space of its own land, rather than just more bananas per banana palm.
Like the ordinary Banana Farm, the method of income changed starting from Bloons TD 5, changing its income to be distributed by bananas that must be collected to redeem it, instead of at the end of each round as in previous games.
Starting from Bloons TD 6, the Banana Plantation became the Banana Farm's third upgrade along the income-boosting path, replacing Banana Republic for that role, and the new second upgrade was replaced by a second basic upgrade that boosts the amount of bananas per round by a smaller amount.
Bloons Card Storm
In Bloons Card Storm, the Banana Plantation is not a direct upgrade of the Banana Farm, but instead generates 1 Gold for every card drawn by the opponent. It costs 3 Gold to play.
