Random Missions (called Random Challenges in Bloons TD 5 Deluxe) are challenges in BTD5 Deluxe and the mobile version and console version of Bloons TD 5. They are based on previous Daily Challenges from the Flash version with modifications to support the additional towers that the Flash version lacks.

In most cases, the missions involve completing a game using a very limited set of towers, similar to the Daily Challenge games that are randomly generated. As a result, the Heli Pilot, Monkey Engineer, Bloonchipper, and Monkey Sub are usable in very few of them. Some missions, however, instead rely on changes such as restricting tower upgrade options, setting a maximum number of placeable towers, starting games at a later round, reducing the available cash, and/or changing the RBE of rounds; it is here that the aforementioned towers can often be used, though there are also cases where only the Heli Pilot is accommodated. The Radadactyl and Banana Farmer are usable in every mission that does not actively restrict Special Agent options, but the Ninja Kiwi is not usable in any.

Additionally, some missions provide the player with free Special Agents when beginning the game; this creates a major exploit in the mobile version, where using all provided agents and restarting the mission repeatedly will eventually unlock the Pro version of each agent, without the prior need for spending any Monkey Money. This works for each agent aside from the Radadactyl, Banana Farmer, and Ninja Kiwi, which are naturally not provided for any missions.
