Extreme

Extreme is a map difficulty in the mobile version of Bloons TD 4 and all versions of Bloons TD 5. It is the hardest map difficulty, above Expert.

Bloons TD 4 (mobile)

In Bloons TD 4, Extreme tracks are only accessible by paying for the Extreme Map Pack DLC.

Bloons TD 5

In Bloons TD 5, Extreme tracks require a small Monkey Money fee per attempt. In the Flash version and Bloons TD 5 Deluxe, this fee depends on the track, while in the mobile version and console version, the fee is always 50 Monkey Money.

Big portions of Rank XP (Awesome Points on the Flash Version, and improved Monkey Money amounts on Deluxe) are rewarded instead of the typical rewards for beating maps. On the Flash and Deluxe versions, the XP and Awesome point amounts also vary depending on the map and is not reduced if the corresponding medal is owned. On the mobile and console versions, this is always set to 50,000 for Easy, 100,000 for Medium, 150,000 for Hard, and 200,000 for Impoppable, reduced by 1/5th of the value if the player already owns the corresponding Medal for that extreme map.
