Strategy
Hunter Marceline is a very powerful global range character that provides respectable DPS. Her Soul Sucking upgrades not only slows down bloons below a BAD, including DDTs, but also gives her benefits depending on what bloon she sucks the soul of. If she sucks a lead (but not DDT) bloon she gains lead-popping, if she sucks a camo bloon or DDT she gains camo detection, and if she sucks a MOAB-class bloon she gains +5 damage against MOABs. Thus, despite starting with sharp damage, she can still pop DDTs without support if she can suck the proper bloons.
As most of her upgrades are about dealing damage, she should be utilized for DPS. Stacking as much attack speed as possible is highly recommended as she can attack so fast that achieving the speed cap of 60 attacks per second can be reasonably achieved without powers when she has high levels. Besides attack speed, Engineers Blueprints and Demon Heart provide large amounts of damage for her, and Mace Stake unlocks Smart Stakes which lets her hit multiple BADs at once in late game Martian Games, or simply deal with swarms of bloons in general. While primarily a DPS character, her Soul Sucking is still useful for slowing down DDTs, and Feast of The Damned lets her apply the soul suck effect on all applicable bloons on screen.
While Hunter Marceline is useful, she is not necessary for clearing or unlocking any content besides her associated adventure, and the maps from her associated adventure can appear in events or Martian Games. If the player opts for purchasing Hunter Marceline with real money, waiting for the discount that arrives in intervals of slightly over a month is recommended if possible, as it will save 40% compared with buying her outside of said discount.
