Strategy:Hunter Marceline (BATTD)

Hunter Marceline is a global range DPS character that can deal DPS around the 2,000-3,000 range against all BADs on screen at max level. As Hunter Marceline cannot perform anything besides DPS, builds should maximize her attack speed and improve her damage as much as possible, and if trinkets are tight, then after reaching the speed cap, MOAB damage should be prioritized over raw damage of the same amount, as against multiple targets, the same projectile can make multiple splinter bursts, which can hit the same bloon for even higher single-target DPS. Splinters cannot benefit from raw damage, so MOAB damage will be effective on it. As all Hunter Marceline builds listed use Carl the Gem, having Princess Bubblegum or Warrior Bubblegum with Gemma the Gemstone will provide +3 damage for Hunter Marceline. Note that Apple improves Marceline flight speed by 20% but Attack Speed is only improved by 10%, so it is not recommended.

Builds

The topmost trinkets for recommended loadouts should be prioritized. While builds do become more effective the more levels the player has, generally each consecutive level has diminishing returns as weaker trinkets are used for remaining slots.

Powerless

Hunter Marceline is one of the few characters that can reach the attack speed cap of 60 attacks per second without powers. Achieving this is difficult without a high level Hunter Marceline, and it requires having her attack slightly above 30 times per second. Doing this will make it round up her attack speed so that she attacks 60 times a second. If gem farming, replace the lowest priority item in the list with Treasure Chest Keys. This build relies on Golden Viola, Allegro Tempo, Treetrunk's Apple Knife, Lute Suit, and Lemonhope for providing additional attack speed, which lets her speed cap at max level. If Hunter Marceline is below max level, then providing another instrument character with Jake's Viola or Fire Guitar, using Rock Out! or Warning Horn, or using Water Nymph will let her speed cap if she has all the other speed trinkets listed.
