Character resource

Character resources are items used to increase the star level of characters in Bloons Adventure Time TD. There are 12 types of character resources: one for each main character. Alt characters use the same resource type as the characters they are based on.

The following sources reward character resources:

• All chest types, except Loot Bags
  • Map chests
  • Adventure chests
  • Bloon Beacon chests
  • Quest chests
• Achievements
• The store
• Collection Event Special Gifts
• Legendary wish orbs
• The Martian Trader

Cosmic Essence

Cosmic Essence is a resource that the player can freely convert to any character resource. The following sources reward Cosmic Essence:

• Daily Rewards
• All chest types, except Loot Bags
• Achievements
• The store
• Legendary wish orbs
• The Martian Trader

In chests, it has a 4% chance of appearing in place of a normal character resource. Due to a bug, it always replaces Bananas; Bananas effectively have 4.33% drop rate, while all other character resources have an 8.33% drop rate.
