Master Defender is a Military Monkey Knowledge upgrade in Bloons TD 6. It reduces the cooldown of Elite Defender's passive ability by 75%, from 10 seconds to 2.5 seconds. Since the ability's effect lasts for 7 seconds, this makes it usually able to activate its passive ability again instantly after its effect runs out.
Contrary to what the description says, this Monkey Knowledge does not eliminate the ability cooldown entirely.[fn 1]

edit- ↑ This can be demonstrated in the following way: With Elite Defender placed and this Monkey Knowledge active, leak the final Bloon in a round to trigger the ability, and then back out of the game and re-enter. This cancels the ability's effects. Afterwards, it still takes 2.5 seconds before the passive ability can be activated again.
