Special Buildings are buildings that allow certain upgrades to be researched in Bloons Monkey City. The player is required to fully construct the building in order to research a corresponding upgrade in the tower's corresponding Upgrade Building, and some Special Buildings enable more than one upgrade. Special Buildings cannot be destroyed once built. All tier 4 upgrades except Banana Investments Advisory require a Special Building.
