New Dart Just Dropped is a Tale Quest in Bloons TD 6, introduced in version 40.0. In the first part of the quest, two Dartling Gunners work together to save up $100,000 to help fund Dr. Monkey's research into new bouncy dart technology. In the second part, they test out the new tech on End of the Road.
Scrapyard Days
Scrapyard Days takes place on Scrapyard Medium. The objective is to save up at least $100,000. While there are technically 100 rounds in total, it is statistically impossible to beat all rounds due to the immense scaling of the Bloons and limited defense to handle them. The player starts with two 1-0-0 Dartling Gunners, but cannot place their own towers initially. The player cannot sell the Dartling Gunners, cannot change their targeting from Normal, and can only upgrade them to Laser Cannon, M.A.D, and Powerful Darts.
- On round 7, a Banana Farm spawns in and the player unlocks the ability to place more Banana Farms. The spawned Banana Farm is treated as a free tower, so its base cost is not factored into its sell value.
- On round 9, a 3-2-0 Glue Gunner spawns in near the entrance. It cannot be sold, upgraded, or have its targeting changed from First. It also spawns a Glue Rat Pet, even if the player has not purchased or equipped it.

Bouncy Dart Test Site
Bouncy Dart Test Site takes place on a modified version of End Of The Road Medium with several added barriers. The objective is to complete all rounds without being able to aim directly at the Bloons with the Dartling Gunners. The player starts with two 1-0-0 Dartling Gunners that have a mutation that causes their projectiles to bounce off of blockers. The Dartling Gunners can cannot be sold, can only be upgraded to Laser Cannon, M.A.D, and Powerful Darts, and cannot have their targeting changed from Normal. The player also starts with a 3-2-0 Glue Gunner and a Glue Rat, but placed behind barriers in such a way that prevents it from contributing anything. It cannot be sold, upgraded, or have its targeting changed from First. The Glue Rat always remains equipped, regardless of whether or not the player has purchased or equipped the Glue Rat Pet.

Scoop It's about two Dartling Gunners who had heard about some new dart tech Doctor Monkey wanted to develop, but didn't have the money for. | |

Scoop "I'm gutted bro," D2 said to D3. "Doctor Monkey needs so much cash for R&D, we're never gonna get to try those bouncy darts." | |

|
Scoop "Yeah, I'm right there with you, bro." D3 replied, all forlorn. | |
- At the end of round 1
|
|
Scoop There wasn't much Bloon action at Scrapyard that day. Truth be told, it was a bit boring. | |
|
|
Scoop But suddenly D3 had a sparkle in his eye. "Wait!" he shouted. | |
|
|
Scoop "What?" D2 said. "I'm not pop stealing, honest!" | |
|
|
Scoop "No... hold on, let me think." | |
|
|
Scoop D3 thought really hard. He had one of those minds that randomly came up with ideas that surprised everyone. D2 knew to give him a moment and turned back to poppin' Bloons. | |

|
Scoop "I've got it!" D3 shouted. "There's a talent show at the local community hall, and the grand prize is 100,000 cash. Exactly what Doctor Monkey needs to finish the Bouncy Darts tech!" | |

Scoop D2 almost dropped his gun. | |

Scoop "D3," he said. D3 looked at him, eyes sparkling even more. "That is the worst idea I've ever heard." | |

Scoop "Well, it's not like we can get the Bloons to help," D3 muttered. | |

Scoop Then, in unison, the two Dartling Gunners looked at each other. Eyes so sparkly there was a small risk of the Scrapyard going up in flames. | |

Scoop "We can get the Bloons to help!" they shouted. | |
- During round 4
|
|
Scoop Soon a Lead Bloon wandered by, and the two Dartling Gunners took the opportunity. | |
|
|
Scoop "Hey, little Bloon," D2 said. But the Bloon pretended not to hear. | |

|
Scoop "Nah, don't be rude." The Bloon slowed, turned its ear... well, it turned a bit, as if listening. | |

Scoop "Can you get heaps of Bloons to come out? Don't try too hard though, we want to save up for this cool Bouncy Dart tech. It'll be sick!" | |

Scoop The Bloon seemed to nod and continued on its way. The two Dartling Gunners beamed at each other. | |

Scoop The Dartling Gunners tightened their gloves as MOAB-loads of Bloons started coming out. | |

Scoop They asked the Banana Farmer that lived on the other side of the fence for some farms. The Farmer was busy, but would send a farm over soon. | |

Scoop "Hmm," D2 said. "These Bloons are a bit cheeky. Those Pinks were trying to sneak past." | |

Scoop "I think we need more firepower," D3 said. "Glue Gunner!" he shouted. "Come help us!" Glue Gunner loved glueing Bloons, and Glue Rat would be a welcome friend. | |
Bouncy Dart Test Site

Scoop The two Dartling Gunners had done it, along with the power of friendship, of course. | |

Scoop The cash was wired to Doctor Monkey and put to work on research and development, and construction of a test site. | |

Scoop A few days later, the two Dartling Gunners got the call and made their way to End of the Road. | |

Scoop The place was unrecognizable. New fences were built and a safety spot set up for the Dartling Gunners, and even the Glue Gunner who had helped them save the cash. | |

Scoop "Dear Dartling Bros," a note from Doctor Monkey read. "These darts will bounce off the fences. You will need to find several bounce positions and move between them to take down the Bloon waves. I've organised with the Bloons to send some tricky troublers your way, though they'll move slower for you, so that was nice of them." | |

Scoop The Dartling Gunners were ready to start. They knew it would be tricky and might take several attempts. | |
