What is considered "difficult" map
Beginner
The following are excluded:
- Logs (good for ALL strategies, so dang long, good intersections and overlapping regions, water coverage is amazing despite low water, spam strats excel, singlelane map for apache/comcom, etc)
- Cubism (lots of intersections and map coverage and long length, just say like uhhh... enjoy the high coverage? Idk how to elaborate what towers especially excel on the map due to map structures)
- In the Loop
The following are included (i.e. not straightforward to explain and need tower table to explain why these are better):
Intermediate
Advanced
Despite "easy" advanceds existing, even something like Ancient Portal needs further explaining (tower section tables, because theres the caveats of what lanes are most efficient, which tiles are best for heroes, etc) and simple ones like Off the Coast aren't necessarily "simple" to beat quoteonquote bc terrain diff and somewhat rough earlygame due to no lane intersects and the distant lane coverages.
Expert
All of them have massive caveats, even the "easiest" ones like infernal and dark castle.
Strategy
In the Loop
In The Loop is average in terms of difficulty among the Beginner maps, due to its relatively long but fairly spaced-out track. The central spot works well for long-range towers, as they can attack Bloons & blimps on 3 or more separate pass-throughs. With general guidelines, In The Loop can be beaten with relative ease.
- Basic Deflation strategies
- Basic Apopalypse strategies
- Basic Half Cash strategies
- Basic Alternate Bloons Rounds strategies
- Basic Impoppable strategies
- Basic CHIMPS strategies
The best regions to take advantage on are the three loops and the central spot. The central spot allows towers to excel at coverage across the map, which is suitable for spam strategies (e.g. Village strategies, such as with Shinobis). The water spots are decent for water-based mid-game excels such as 3-1-0 Destroyer. Like most single-lane beginner maps, Apache Prime and Comanche Commander excel at carrying the map with minimal micro needed.

[if table be added, just add the towers and heroes that excel... drgoku input? idk]
Logs
Logs is considered to be the easiest map in BTD6 due to its very long length, great abundance of placements with good coverage, and many intersections. Contrary to popular belief, Bloons/blimps can take damage while under the logs, so all of the length on this map can be taken advantage of. Therefore, Logs is ideal for Freeplay and achievements such as 2TC and 2 MegaPops. In fact, Logs has the highest number of 2TC completions, highest number of 2 MegaPops completions, and cheapest CHIMPS completion ever ($1215 spent, so only Corvus and a 0-0-0 Dart). As shown by the number of 2TC completions, Logs has arguably the widest variety of working strategies out of all maps in BTD6, and can be beaten easily using general guidelines below.
- Basic Deflation strategies
- Basic Apopalypse strategies
- Basic Half Cash strategies
- Basic Alternate Bloons Rounds strategies
- Basic Impoppable strategies
- Basic CHIMPS strategies
The extreme amount of coverage that towers in the middle have allows a lot of towers and strategies to excel on this map. Good intersecting lane sections, good stuff idk
