Semi Auto can be considered an unorthodox and expensive [[Ceramic Bloon (BMC)|Ceramic Bloon]] stripper on tile capturing, only requiring [[Full Metal Jacket (BMC)|Full Metal Jacket]] on the other path to deal with all but the densest Ceramic rushes and allow for other towers to clean up a much weaker bloon threat, which is achieved by setting it to Strong targeting. Once spaced MOABs spawn, this can similarly be used to break them open by purchasing [[Point Five Oh (BMC)|Point Five Oh]]. Its main weakness is Ceramic and MOAB rushes, as it can only target one Bloon at a time; however, by the time these rushes become a threat, a player can afford more defenses to take care of them.

Semi Auto can be added to quickly pop Bloons as soon as they appear for anti-stalling purposes. However, it is not the fastest method of anti-stalling rounds for its cost and will struggle for this purpose once MOABs arrive.

It is more useful in the {{flash version of|Bloons Monkey City}} due to the lower variety of effective singular Ceramic-popping options for its cost when compared to the {{multiplat version of|Bloons Monkey City}}.
