Sentry Champion is a very weak tower without external buffs, but it becomes effective in the presence of them. Champion Sentries attack extremely fast with many projectiles, but have very low damage and pierce. They also inherit speed buffs from the Sentry Champion, effectively multiplying the effect of the buff by increasing both sentry attack speed and deployment rate. Thus, pairing it with at least a [[Call to Arms (BTD6)|Call to Arms]] and [[Jungle Drums (BTD6)|Jungle Drums]] is mandatory for it stand out. [[Homeland Defense (BTD6)|Homeland Defense]] is much stronger, making an effective synergy when used against Bosses.

Sentry Champion also benefits from damage buffs and blimp debuffs. [[Glue Strike (BTD6)|Glue Strike]], in particular the [[Glue Soak (BTD6)|Glue Soak]] crosspath to penetrate blimps, is one of its best pairings.
