The lack of purple-popping can be detrimental to the tower. It is primarily used as a stepping stone to [[Plasma Accelerator (BTD6)|Plasma Accelerator]] rather than purchased for its own sake. However, in absence of blimp debuffs, Laser Cannons are the more cost-efficient Dartlings to spam against single blimps, as the condensed crosspathing benefits can save more money than buying many crosspathed lower-tiers would.
