Monkey Knowledge (MK for short) is an enhancement system in Bloons TD 6. Starting at level 30, players can invest Monkey Money and Monkey Knowledge Points into one of six skill trees to unlock permanent enhancements. Most are enhancements to specific towers and upgrades, but some alter the fundamentals of the game itself, such as reducing the health of all MOAB-Class Bloons. Players can choose to disable all their active Monkey Knowledge and enable it again for no cost. Additionally, players can pay 2000 Monkey Money for a respec to re-invest their Monkey Knowledge Points into different trees. It is not required repay Monkey Money to unlock previously unlocked Monkey Knowledge.
Terminology
[edit | edit source]- "Monkey Knowledge" is both the term for the system as a whole and a term for the nodes that unlock perks. The nodes have also been called "Monkey Knowledge upgrades"[1] and "Knowledge types"[2] to distinguish them from the system.
- "Monkey Knowledge Points" are the currency used to unlock Monkey Knowledge upgrades. This term has also been used for the upgrades themselves on at least one occasion.[3]
Mechanics
[edit | edit source]Tiers
[edit | edit source]Monkey Knowledge trees are split into six tiers; upgrades lower on the tree are of higher tiers. Tiers 3 and above require a certain number of Monkey Knowledge Points to be invested into the tree before they can be unlocked, and tiers 4 and above cost Monkey Money when purchased for the first time.
| Tier | Primary | Military | Magic | Support | Heroes | Powers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| 4 | ||||||
| 5 | ||||||
| 6+ |
Respec
[edit | edit source]The Respec option cost
2,000 Monkey Money. It removes all Monkey Knowledge Points the player has invested into all Monkey Knowledge trees and refunds them. Any Monkey Money spent on Monkey Knowledge upgrades will remain, so they will only require a Knowledge Point and not cost any Monkey Money the next time the player unlocks them.
In-app purchases
[edit | edit source]Monkey Knowledge can be unlocked early by purchasing Knowledge Unlocked from the Shop. This option does not exist in Bloons TD 6+ or Bloons TD 6 NETFLIX due to the removal of the Shop.

Ambidextrous 'Rangs: became an inherent part of the Boomerang Monkey in version 22.0. Its slot on the Monkey Knowledge tree was replaced with
Recurring 'Rangs.
Unused content
[edit | edit source]These Monkey Knowledge upgrades have text and icons, but are not implemented. The unused Dartling Gunner Monkey Knowledge seems to predate the rework to its upgrades that happened before the tower eventually released.
