Dr Monkey is a Super Rare ally in Bloons Adventure Time TD. He does not attack directly, instead throwing chemical bottles onto the nearby track at random, similar to the Alchemist's Acid Pool upgrade in Bloons TD 6. His chemicals leave behind puddles that strip Camo, Regrow, Zombie, and Shield properties from Bloons on contact, but cannot strip Fortified or Ghost properties and do not affect MOAB-Class Bloons. He can be upgraded to apply more effects to Bloons: slowing them, dealing damage over time, and turning them into gold, making them worth more cash per pop. His chemicals' effects are permanent and affect all layers.

Despite having all four of the standard targeting options (First, Last, Close, and Strong), they have no effect on his behavior.

Strategy

• For newer players, Dr Monkey acts as a support for the early game Bloons, removing potentially dangerous properties like Camo and Regrow in order to properly deal with the Bloon rushes. Slowing Solution and Damage Decoction further improve his support capabilities by dealing chip damage to Bloons (without having to worry about Regrow Bloons regenerating) and providing more time for a weaker defense to deal with Rainbows and Ceramics.
• Once Extreme and Impoppable maps become available and the player unlocks better trinkets and weapons, Dr Monkey's role shifts more towards cash generation. By rushing Alchemy, one can aquire 4× as much cash from popping Bloons compared to normal.
  • If the player is at rank 93 or higher and equips the Magic Coin Purse, they can start with a Dr Monkey with Damage Decoction. On maps where a single Dr Monkey can cover all lanes, he can solo carry the player for long enough to afford Alchemy.
  • Dr Monkey competes in this role with King of Ooo's Scepter. While Dr Monkey can often cover more Bloons in gold, his acid damage can get in the way as Banana Replicator does not count damage dealt by allies. C4 Charlie with King of Ooo's Scepter is a much cheaper and more efficient cash generator, though he takes up a character slot.
