Extreme is a map difficulty in the mobile version of Bloons TD 4 and all versions of Bloons TD 5. It is the hardest map difficulty, above Expert.

Bloons TD 4 (mobile)

In Bloons TD 4, Extreme tracks are only accessible by paying for the Extreme Map Pack DLC.

Bloons TD 5

In Bloons TD 5, Extreme tracks require a small Monkey Money fee per attempt. In the Flash version and Bloons TD 5 Deluxe, this fee depends on the track, while in the Template:Multiplatform version and console version, the fee is always 50 Monkey Money.

Big portions of Rank XP (Awesome Points on the Flash Version, and improved Monkey Money amounts on Deluxe) are rewarded instead of the typical rewards for beating maps.
