Critical shot (referred as Crit shot,[1] Crit,[2] or crit[3] in some upgrade descriptions) is a game mechanic in Bloons TD 6 and Bloons TD Battles 2 that allows a shot to deal significantly more damage and trigger orange text ("CRIT" in Bloons TD 6, "CRIT!" in Battles 2) above the damaged Bloon. The text briefly fades in and moves vertically before fading out.
In Bloons TD 6, the visual text from critical hits can be hidden by setting Effects Scale to less than 100%.
