Shell Shock Mortar

Shell Shock Mortar is a Military Monkey card in Bloons Card Storm, introduced in version 4.0. Instead of its attacks being controlled by the player, it automatically attacks a random Bloon on the opponent's side at the end of their turn and stuns it. If given additional Ammo, it will use Ammo as many times as it can at the end of a turn.

• Shell Shock Mortar can prevent current affected Bloons from being able to OTK, such as from Quick Ready, but its randomness and 2 delay can make it unreliable, even for its cost.
• Versus a single Bloon, Shell Shock Mortar can guarantee delaying it, though the Shell Shock Mortar's slow reload prevents it from permastalling, unless there are two Shell Shock Mortars with alternating reloads.
• Shell Shock is an excellent choice with Striker Jones, as its damage per turn isn’t bad, the stalling is useful to help him get out of early game, and Ammo Stores allows for a Shell Shock to potentially stun two Bloons in one turn.

Development

Ninja Kiwi proposed a buff to Shell Shock Mortar in Version 5.2 by buffing its ATK from 40 to 50. Community playtesters proposed a further ATK buff to 60, which was approved in the update.
