Road Spikes is a road item in Bloons Monkey City. It has no level prerequisites.

Road Spikes has 10 pierce, popping all Bloon types including Camo Bloons, but not Lead Bloons. Road Spikes last for infinite duration during one round only, and are removed at the end of each round, unless playing on Monkey vs Monkey.

Strategy

See the strategy guidelines for more information on how to write strategy sections.

Road Spikes can be used as an emergency option to protect against leaks, mainly to avoid losing No Lives Lost bonus. Using a spike essentially is down to a $20 loss if all Bloons are popped, so avoid placing more than necessary, and place self-sufficient defense to not rely on spamming Road Spikes in a panic.

Additionally, Road Spikes can be used to chip down specific spaced Ceramics or early MOABs to chip those layers faster.
