Monkey Engineers fire powerful nail guns to pop nearby bloons. They can create traps, sentries and other enhancements which can even remove camo from bloons.
The Monkey Engineer has upgrades that allow it to build sentries and traps, dispense foam, or boost other towers. The base Engineer Monkey operates a nail gun that shoots nails, each popping up to three Bloons, but cannot pop Lead Bloons or frozen Bloons. The Engineer cannot detect Camo but has upgrades that let it strip Camo properties.
Creates a powerful bloon trap that destroys all bloons caught in it. Once full, trap will destroy itself after a short time. If emptied manually, gives you extra cash. Only one trap can be active at a time.
The Monkey Engineer in the Flash version of BMC is based on an older version of its Bloons TD 5 Deluxe counterpart, and therefore has not been updated to balance change the Engineer. As such, it still has things such as the higher cost 9-Inch Nails, infinite pierce Cleansing Foam, and a lack of ability sound for Overclock.
Engineer Monkey is the only tower released to an update of the Flash version of BMC. Internally, code suggesting the Heli Pilot and Bloonchipper are present but neither were released in the game.
