The Ice Fortress is the Ice Tower's Specialty Building in Bloons TD 5.

Tiers

The total cost of all tiers is  3,750 Monkey Money in the mobile version and console version, or  2,500 in the Flash version and Deluxe.

Strategy

On the Flash version, this allows an ice tower to permanently stall all non-MOAB-Class Bloons. This stalling can allow for Activated Abilities to refresh their cooldowns for the next round, which can be helpful for abilities such as the MIB Call To Arms, Sabotage Supply Lines, and Super Monkey Fan Club. This stalling also directly benefits some abilities more, such as Supply Drop to gain even more cash per round. Additionally, with the tier 3 effect enabled and Snap Freeze bought, it can even damage MOAB-Class Bloons without the aid of an MIB.

On the mobile version, the Camo detection given to the Arctic Wind and Ice Shards without requiring a Radar Scanner Village can prove beneficial to saving money overall, and can potentially be relied on as the sole camo detection, due to no MOAB-Class Bloons nor their children having the Camo property. However, the Attack Speed Monkey Lab upgrade combined with the Freeze duration will prevent the Ice Tower from properly stalling Bloons with Enhanced Freeze, as it attacks faster than the freeze duration and cannot re-freeze Bloons.
