Exploding Pineapple is a road item in Bloons Monkey City. It has no level prerequisites.
Exploding Pineapple has a 3-second timer before detonation, creating a blast that pops all Bloon types including Camo Bloons, but not Black Bloon properties, with a pierce of about 40. The radius is significantly smaller in the multiplatform version.

Pineapples are one of many ways of taking out Leads in a pinch, especially Camo Leads. They're also cheaper and less prone to groups, unlike the Road Spikes, but require a time delay before setting off.
Pineapples are decent way of taking out Lead Bloons and clusters in the Flash version, where their blast radiuses are large enough to be pretty consistent damage. Its only weaknesses are Blacks and Zebras, which can be taken out by other options for not too much cost.
In the multiplatform version, the tiny radius of pineapples make them much more clumsy at taking down Leads without anticipating Lead Bloon movement. However, placing pineapples around tight corners and bends can make it easier to predict where the Leads will go. They're not recommended against big clusters.
