Lake Terrain is a type of Terrain in Bloons Monkey City. Appearing on the map as a light blue tile with some waves, it is one of two primarily aquatic terrain types in the game alongside River Terrain.
Note: due to a lack of distinct official names, this article uses popular community-created names for these tracks for the sake of familiarity.
Maps of this terrain type are decorated with grass, flowers, and trees on land, and lily pads and rocks on the water. The paths that go through the latter usually use these decorations to mark the path. These maps feature large quantities of water. Some of the tracks of this terrain type are coastal, where others take place on small islands.
This map takes place on a peninsula, on which the path first moves southeast before making the namesake small loop, before exiting in the southwest corner of the map.
This map takes place on four islands, roughly arranged in a square shape. The path, which goes entirely though the water, starts from the northwest before circumnavigating the two larger islands - the east and the west islands, in that order - and exiting to the southeast.
This map, with marginally more water than land, takes placed on a slightly curved shoreline. The path starts in the north, making a few turns before taking a large turn clockwise from north to south, taking it offshore where the path ends at the bottom of the screen.
This map is divided into water in the northwest and land in the southeast, separated by a stone path that frequently turns, creating many small peninsulas and lagoons.
This map takes place on an island shaped like the titular projectile. From the west, the path traces the northern shore of the island clockwise before going across the island and going around its lake counterclockwise before going off the island to the southwest, where the track ends shortly after.
This map features land in the shape of a narrow triangle facing downward. The triangle is bounded by an aquatic path starting in the northwest, moving to the southern edge of the map, and returning north to exit in the east. The map is symmetrical, and only appears in the Bloon Dunes.

The editor who added this notice elaborates: similar to river, but with a few differences (chipper instead of engie, etc) also talk about bad mirror in specific, and Percent for CT (it's easy overall but lack of land is really bad for temples and the such

Temple spots in Percent
Bad Mirror Flash Spac spot
With exception of Bad Mirror, most Lake tiles run similarly to River Terrain except banning Bloonchipper instead of Monkey Engineer, and favoring Monkey Buccaneer instead of Banana Farm. Due to only banning Chipper alongside Ninja and Bomb, late-game is a little harder in the multiplatform version but easier in the Flash version, minus the lane formatting and much lesser land. Buccaneer and Sub are recommended for the majority of damage to compensate not having Ninja, with Buccaneer better on tracks that allow local-ranged coverage (without whiffing) and Sub better on both formats.
Specific to Bad Mirror, the recommended tower is Monkey Subs, with 2-2 crosspath being the best choice for damage. Have towers near the start, such as 2-0 Dart, to gather intel. For Leads, a Mortar Monkey is the most efficient option early on. Ice Shards is also strong for dealing with groups near the start if MOAB-class are dealt with elsewhere and used alongside a stable strategy. In the Flash version, there is a somewhat precise spot that allows Spike Factory to reach the lane with water, even without Monkey Village, which is impossible in the multiplatform version even with Village. Overall, for Flash strategy, use Spike Factory alongside the Mortar, Destroyer at the left side (not the right, otherwise it whiffs to faster Bloons), and Ice Shards.
Percent is not usually hard, but it is challenging in Contested Territory due to the lack of land. This results in far fewer Temple spots (with full MK, only 4 max in the Flash version and 3 in the multiplatform version, and 5 without MK) and less quality sacrifices. Water spots are usually not a problem, but it is important to maximize water space.
