Please stop making hundreds of tiny edits

I don't know if you're aware, but you can click on the "show preview" button to see what the page you're editing will look like before committing your edits. Right now you're submitting hundreds of tiny edits on the same pages in a row, which is clogging up the recent changes log. Please make your changes all at once or mark them as minor edits so they can be filtered out. polavux 03:34, 29 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry, I was not aware of the minor edits feature. I am a new user of the wiki and will make sure to mark any small future edits as minor in the future. Also, if I unknowingly do any actions that I should not do in the future, notify me so that I will no longer do them in the future. -Player

Hi

im doing a discussion in the Strategy:CHIMPS to see what thinks that is better if icicle impale or superglue. That's because both has a similar role, like superglue is cheaper and better stalling but does less damage than icicle impale. Clarita34566 (talk) 01:10, 13 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely feel free to do so. The consensus among the Expert BTD6 community is that Super Glue is the overall stronger option, but I can definitely see why Impale is better suited for beginners due to it also dealing somewhat more damage than Super Glue. Also, I am sorry for being a bit too blunt in my summaries. I applaud and respect your efforts to contribute to this wiki and promote knowledge, and absolutely do not wish to intimidate you. After all, the wiki's advancement is best with the steady growth of all editors, including myself! Player (talk) 01:32, 13 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Moab Domination

Is Moab Domination really a good tower to be recommending to new players? I don't think most people would be able to do a 50k save up with Moab Press as it would require a secondary tower/hero to get it. For beginner maps I would be recommending more beginner-friendly towers. Also I would also recommend solid mid-game tier 3-4 towers and not just win conditions. Overclockbtd (talk) 23:09, 26 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Recommending mid-game towers is a very good idea, and I am definitely in favor of it but was attempting to nail down the basics of the maps' articles quickly and therefore only recommended 1-2 towers (usually win conditions) for each map. As for MOAB Dom, there is a link to general CHIMPS strategies on all Beginner maps, which lists many solid mid-game carry options (such as BADS) that save up easily to MOAB Dom, so I would say the save-up would not be difficult enough to make MOAB Dom not recommendable. Adding the mid-game recommendations for each map would further solidify the case to recommend MOAB Dom. Once MOAB Dom is obtained, the rest of the game is relatively trivial, thanks to it needing relatively little support to defeat the late-game. In addition, many would recommend Apache Prime for Beginner maps, which I would argue is harder to pull off as Apache Dartship is straight up worse than BADS for the mid-game despite costing more, and Apache Prime is costs about the same as MOAB Dom + a mid-game tower (like BADS) while performing worse on DDT rounds (even with MIB). MOAB Dom is also holds up as an above-average win condition in more difficult maps, which helps its case. I will say that on some the maps I recommended MOAB Dom on, MOAB Dom would not exactly be my first choice, but I do think it would be bland to recommend Glaive Lord and Perma-Spike on every single Beginner map, so I chose some maps where MOAB Dom performs relatively well to recommend it on. I am absolutely open to changing it though, but at the moment I am in favor of leaving MOAB Dom in the recommendation section. Player (talk) 23:39, 26 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Shattering Shells summary?

Do you reckon Shattering Shells strategy summary sums up everything that Shattering offers? I did this section but I would like some feedback on it, as I may have missed maybe a thing or two about this tower. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 23:43, 6 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

I would say you did a very good job with the strategy summary for Shattering Shells, as all the basic information about Shattering Shells's use cases and viability are there and correct. In my opinion, it is good keeping it as you put it, as brevity is important and adding more information would make it rather bloated, but if there is other important strategy information missing there (which I cannot think of one right now), I would certainly add it there but attempt to keep it brief. Bouncing Bullet distance with Large Calibre

If I'm not mistaken 230 bouncing bullet has a bounce distance of 80. Ninja Kiwi said 240 in their patch notes but in fact it was 230 and above that was affected so the correct distance should be 80 instead of 50. Overclockbtd (talk) 03:05, 13 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

I just performed testing and I stand corrected, 230 and 240 have the exact same bouncing distance (which seems to be about double that of 03x). Thank you for letting me know! Player (talk) 03:41, 13 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Perma Brew in CHIMPS?

Thanks for your edit to the Strategy:Alchemist (BTD6) article, I clearly wasn't aware of the middle path's use cases! Is permabrew legitimately useful in CHIMPS? I feel like the high cost would invalidate it, no? MrFattie (talk) 15:39, 8 February 2025 (UTC) MrFattie (talk) 15:39, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

I think I can answer this one. The high cost is a tough saveup but it allows a lot of spam strategies like overdrives and dragon's breaths to effectively have triple damage on all towers (when using a few berserker brews would probably lose AMD buff), or even being used with Sun Avatars due to the infinite uptime on the brew regardless of attack speed. It's not that terrible, especially since they did cut the price a lot in a recent balance patch. --Planterror (talk) 15:45, 8 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
