Bloons TD 4, also written as Bloons Tower Defense 4 and BTD4, is an Adobe Flash game in the Bloons TD series developed by Ninja Kiwi and released in 2009. It is the original version of Bloons TD 4 and is based on Bloons Tower Defense 3. This version later received an expansion titled Bloons TD 4 Expansion, which has different content. The Ninja Kiwi website and Ninja Kiwi Archive releases support the web account system and share the same save data with BTD4 Expansion, allowing progress, achievements, high scores, and in-app purchases in one game to carry over to the other.

	Top Rank Unlocks (also known as Buy Rank 31 in-game) Buying this will set your Rank to 31, or 32 if you are playing BTD4 expansion, awarding you all tower unlocks, level 5 tower upgrade unlocks, and game mode unlocks including Sandbox Mode and Apopalypse Mode, and Deflation Mode in BTD4 Expansion. This content is all normally unlocked by simply playing the game through and getting these unlocks as you Rank up yourself.	12
	Double Cash from Pops (also known as Double Cash in-game) With this perk, you will get 2 money from every bloon popped instead of the normal 1. You will also have a leg up at the start getting 1300 money to begin every game. Premium Tracks

	High-Tech Track (Expert) This is an extremely challenging track. Two separate tracks converge then split then converge then split before heading to the exits. Although there is lots of good building area, the tracks are short giving you no room for error.	15
	Inter-dimensional Track (Advanced) This track is bizarre and highly challenging. It has 4 separate tracks that start on the top half of the screen then loop once around the centre, finally heading to their respective exits.	15
	Railway Track (Expert) This track is one of the most challenging you can ever play. It has 5 very short separate tracks that combine into one. Good luck, you will need it!	15
	Space Age Track (Intermediate) A simple track where bloons can come from either direction. The large area in the centre is a good spot to build most of your towers.	15
	Grasslands Track (Advanced) This is a moderately challenging double path track. The bloons on the left most track come from the top of the screen, and for the right track, from the bottom of the screen.	15
	Clifftop Track (Intermediate) A simple track with a twist - the bloons criss cross the central path multiple times making it easy to get good value for your towers. However there is limited build area in the upper part of the track and the bloons can come from either entrance!	15
	Daisy Track (Beginner) An easy and fun BTD4 track where the bloons must pass through the central area at least 5 times before heading to the exit.	15

• Placing a tower using Right Click will halt the placement until the player clicks the screen anywhere else to remove the dropdown box. This ignores Terrain checks, allowing any tower to be placed on any part of the map, including the track.
• Quickly selecting a different tower after upgrading a tower will show the selected tower's upgrades in the wrong upgrade position, allowing the player to skip purchasing upgrades by buying one directly.
• The Lollipop Challenge incorrectly allows the use of the Dart Monkey hotkey, D, despite the Dart Monkey being restricted.

Ninja Kiwi

The Ninja Kiwi release has seven unlockable achievements. These also exist in Bloons TD 4 Expansion, but the Lickity Split and MOAB Madness achievements cannot be obtained in that game due to the challenges being removed.

MochiGames

The MochiGames release had a leaderboard where players could earn bronze, silver, or gold medals by scoring high rounds on each track and difficulty. It was discontinued in 2014 following the closure of Mochi Media.
