Bloons is a title shared by multiple games in the Bloons series. This includes the Flash version of Bloons, a browser game developed by Ninja Kiwi in 2007; the iOS version of Bloons, a mobile game based on Even More Bloons developed by Digital Goldfish and released in 2009; and the console version of Bloons, a game for the Wii, Nintendo DSi, and PlayStation Portable developed by Bloober Team and released in 2009–2010. The Flash version is the first game of the Bloons franchise as a whole and has multiple expansion packs released as standalone browser games, including More Bloons, the Bloons Player Pack sub-series, and Bloons Junior. The iOS version also has free demo versions that come with levels repurposed from the Flash games. These games are the first games of the Bloons series and established the monkeys and bloons. The Bloons 2 games succeeded Bloons in 2010.

Further information: Bloons (series)

In all versions of Bloons, the player controls a monkey that can throw darts in any direction. The goal is to pop enough Bloons to complete each level. Each Bloon type has a unique effect when popped. Popping certain Bloons gives the monkey an extra shot; it can only hold one extra shot at a time. There are also Blocks that serve as obstacles and do not count towards level completion.

In the Flash games, the player aims with the mouse and charges their shot by holding down the left mouse button, which determines the shot's velocity and distance. In the mobile games, the player drags on the screen away from the monkey to determine the angle and strength of the shot. Starting in Even More Bloons, the player can throw shots without waiting for the previous shot to expire.

Bonus Dart Bloon

Causes the next shot to throw a boomerang that travels in an arc and returns to the monkey.

Tack Bloon

Triple Shot Bloon
Causes the next shot to throw three darts at a time instead of one.

Chomper Bloon
Spawns Pac-Man, which the player can control with the arrow keys to eat Bloons and Breakable Blocks for a short time. In Bloons Festive Fun, it is known as the Reindeer Bloon and spawns a reindeer face instead, which the player controls by swiping to change its direction.

Ice Bloon

Light Sabre Bloon
