Sapper is an achievement in Bloons TD 6. It is unlocked by popping 5 million Fortified Bloon layers. Bloons that have their fortification stripped and layers that are skipped (e.g. damage that insta-kills or otherwise destroys MOAB-Class Bloon layers and their Fortified children in one go) do not count. Because Fortified MOAB-Class Bloons contain Fortified children, they contribute more "points" to this achievement if all of their Fortified layers are popped individually.

Strategy
[edit | edit source]Sapper is one of the most time-consuming achievements to obtain. As such, it should not be focused on until after unlocking features such as Paragons and most Monkey Knowledge. It would take over a thousand games up to round 100 to achieve the necessary pops.
Fortified MOAB-Class Bloons appear in far greater quantities past round 100 than before it, making Freeplay mode highly recommended for this achievement. To obtain this achievement one should repeatedly go far into Freeplay (ideally round 200 and above) without the use of insta-killing towers such as Bloon Master Alchemist, XXXL Trap, Navarch of the Seas, Psi, or Ezili's MOAB Hex ability. One should also avoid use of Fortify-removing towers such as Shattering Shells and blimp layer-skipping towers such as First Strike Capability or Giganotosaurus.
It is recommended to play on standard Easy mode on the easiest Beginner maps such as Logs, Resort, or Cubism. Alternate Bloons Rounds is not recommended; although it contains more Fortified Bloons during rounds 1-140, the increased prices and Bloon speed of Hard difficulty make it harder to reach very high rounds where most Fortified Bloons appear.
For those without the in-game resources or the hardware for late Freeplay runs, a possible alternative involves repeatedly fighting Elite Bloonarius. The Boss spawns many Fortified and MOAB-class Bloons, even spawning multiple fortified BADs upon reaching a skull at Tier 5. Beating all five tiers will result in tens of thousands of pops being added to this achievement's progress.
