Gains a ranged sword-throwing attack with the same pierce, attack cooldown, and damage as his main attack, but with 10 more range. It is affected by pierce, cooldown, damage, and range stat modifiers (from equipment, upgrades, etc) in the same way as his main attack. This attack is not considered a "main attack".
Dungeon Finn can handle rounds until Ceramic Bloons easily, but quickly becomes reliant on upgrades unlocked on later star levels against MOAB-Class bloons. His primary use later on is for ability-reliant DPS using his Inferno ability, damaging multiple BADs with heavy damage every so often.
Before unlocking Inferno, Dungeon Finn is primarily used for his sword swipes. Compared with Finn, his sword-related upgrades give him more damage and attack speed overall, making him the best sword character for sword attacks early on. Purchasing Shield Bash will slow down the frequency at which he attacks with his sword, so it should only be purchased if all the other available upgrades afterwards besides Focused Fire can be purchased. Besides early game defense, Dungeon Finn largely struggles as his damage against MOABs is nearly nonexistant before unlocking One-Two Combo at level 5, and is not great before unlocking Inferno at level 7.
His strongest build requires Inferno, and by extension, level 7. Inferno scales off attack speed, so it can heavily damage or destroy BADs when given enough attack speed. Like all ability builds, Baby Tooth helps get more Inferno uses, but because Inferno already deals 1500 damage per attack, extra damage bonuses are nearly useless for it. Thus, stacking as many attack speed trinkets alongside Finn Sword, such as Baker's Shard, will get the most out of Inferno.
While Dungeon Finn can be useful, he is not necessary for clearing or unlocking any content besides his associated adventure, and the maps from his associated adventure can appear in events or Martian Games. If the player opts for purchasing Dungeon Finn with real money, waiting for the discount that arrives in intervals of slightly over a month is recommended if possible, as it will save 40% compared with buying him outside of said discount. At the same time he is discounted, Character Bundle 1 is also discounted, so if the player wants all 3 characters without waiting for their separate discount intervals, that is the best time for purchasing said bundle.
