Spirit Strike ( 13 Active) Deal 100 damage to a Bloon and gain 2 Gold
Obyn Greenfoot is a Hero in Bloons Card Storm. He can be unlocked from the Store by purchasing him for 1,000 or by purchasing the Obyn Hero Bundle for real money.
Obyn's playstyle is more defensive than other Heroes. His abilities allow him to spawn free Monkeys and grant Shield.
Summon Wolf — Adds a Wolf card to the player's hand. The player cannot use it if their hand is full.
Nature's Shield — Passively grants him 15 Shield at the end of each turn while it is active.
Spirit Strike — Deals 100 damage to a target Bloon and grants the player up to 2 Gold. It can target Bloons on either player's side.
As the hero with the most sources of shields, Obyn is the least vulnerable against OTK (one-turn kill) strategies, as he can theoretically stockpile enough shields that even 500 damage cannot kill him in one go. He is one of the best heroes for control, but also remains solid in midrange decks that take advantage of expensive combos with Quincy Action Figure. Obyn aggro is decent, with his Wolves compensating the absence of most Monkey cards in Obyn aggro.
Among his hero-exclusive cards, Nature's Clarity and Wall Of Trees are his most important cards, as they all produce plenty of shield. Players seeking to use Wolves as defense may add Howls.
Obyn Control is the only control deck that is strong enough to resist aggro consistently.
Unlike Quincy and Gwendolin, Obyn's damage is somewhat limited, via only his Wolf cards and the Spirit Strike ability.
Obyn tends to be the most easy-to-use hero for OTK strategies. Not only would Nature's Clarity give high shield by picking Double Trouble, his Wolf cards offer a more readily available source of triggering the Quincy Action Figure's cash generation.
Wolf does more damage than Obyn's Nature's Shield can generate. In the early-game, use his Wolves to handle early-game pressure.
A nerf to his Nature's Shield in Version 6.0 was partially reverted in Version 6.2, as playtesters noted that nerfs to Super Monkey, BMA, and Bloonsday Device were contributing to weakening his control archetype overall, and the Nature's Shield effect itself feeling underpowered.[1]
