Hero Alts are modified versions of Heroes in Bloons TD Battles 2 and Bloons Card Storm. Hero Alts generally have similar mechanics to the Heroes they are based on, but with altered properties. They are intended to be sidegrades to Heroes, and their differences are generally a mix of upsides and downsides. Some Hero Alts are based on cosmetic-only Hero Skins in Bloons TD 6.
Hero Alts cost Monkey Money and 40,000 Hero Points of the original Hero to unlock. They are treated as completely separate Heroes from the ones they are based on, and have their own Hero Point currencies and cosmetic items.

Hero Alts have the same exclusive cards as the Heroes they are based on, though they are not able to use exclusive cards that are only obtainable with the base Hero's Hero Abilities (for example, Mountain Obyn, a Hero Alt of Obyn Greenfoot, cannot use Wolves because they can only be created by Obyn Greenfoot). They are otherwise treated as different Heroes.
