Sandytown is an area in the Frontier Legends DLC for Bloons TD 6. It is a small town in the middle of the desert with a few residents, and features several buildings that are important to the game mechanics, such as the Saloon and Sheriff's Homestead. From here, the players can head directly to Boulder Falls, Sulfur Springs, or Wagon's Way by walking through the town's exits.

The currently known residents of Sandytown are Sheriff, Mr Mayor, Scout, Geraldo, Quickshot Clyde, Piercing Pearl and a number of regular Monkeys without outfits. Also, it is said that the town's founder Capitan Sandy is buried somewhere and can still be heard.

Buildings

[edit | edit source]

Sheriff's Homestead

[edit | edit source]

This building is located in to the right of the center of the town, and is the current home of the Sheriff and their Posse. Upon entering the building, the player can see its interior, with the Sheriff and the 3D models of the members of their Posse and pet companion.

Here, players can use the buttons to perform certain actions:

  • Sheriff: Change the Sheriff's equipment and their pet.
  • Posse: Manage the members of their Posse and see their traits.
  • Collection: View all the collectibles and goals that the player has obtained during their campaign.

The Homestead also recovers lives and the stamina of the player's Monkeys more effectively than a Campfire (90% per minute).

Saloon

[edit | edit source]

The Saloon is located to the left of the center of the town. It allows the player to recruit towers and Heroes for the Posse by paying them a certain amount Bananite. The interior shows the Sheriff and the models of the potential recruits, and there is a single button to open the Recruit menu which has several options:

  • Hands to Hire: This is composed of regular towers and sometimes Heroes. By selecting their portrait, the players can see their traits and recruit cost. If hired, they will join the Posse at full Stamina. If there are no more space in the Posse, they appear in the Ranch Hands menu instead.
  • Heroes to Hire: All available Heroes (and their alternate skins) are shown and can be recruited without being on the Saloon, but at a high cost. Only Heroes and Hero Skins that the player has unlocked in the base game can appear.
  • Ranch Hands: Shows all Monkeys that the player has recruited.

Regular tower recruits have their traits and names randomized and are always base towers (0-0-0), their recruit cost is the same as the base cost of the tower in Medium difficutly. When the Saloon is rerolled any potential recruit has a 10% chance of being a Hero, costing only 33% of what they cost in the Heroes to Hire menu. There is also a 5% chance of encountering Legendary recruits with have some upgrades and powerful traits but they cost 2.25× the amount to recruit than hiring a base tower and upgrading it to the same tier. The available towers in the Saloon will refresh 1 hour after entering the Saloon or by forcing a reroll button by paying $200 Bananite.

The Traits that the tower has can also modify the recruit cost, if the tower has multiple traits, they stack multiplicatively. The Favored Trades item at the General Store applies a further 10% discount. The final recruit cost is then rounded to the closest multiple of five.

Trait cost multiplier
Trait Rarity
Positive Traits 1.0× 1.05× 1.1× 1.15×
Negative Traits 0.9× 0.85× 0.8× 0.75×

At the start of the story only the following towers can appear at the Saloon:

Other towers are unlocked as the player progresses through the story:

This list contains minor spoilers, proceed with caution
Towers are usually unlocked after the last battle with one of the story companions: Legendary recruits can always appear even if their base tower has not been unlocked yet.

General Store

[edit | edit source]

The General Store is located to the left of the Saloon, where Geraldo works as the shopkeeper. Here the player can use their Bananite to buy items. They are classified into three categories and can either be a Consumable item or a permanent Upgrade.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]

  • Tack Shooters and Monkey Buccaneers are technically not available at the start of the campaign at the Saloon, but they are unlocked just before the first time Sheriff would enter the Saloon in regular gameplay.
