Bloontonium Gas Bloon is an Advanced Bloon card in Bloons Card Storm. It grants its owner 1 Bloontonium each time it takes damage.

Tips

- This Bloon is capable of producing plenty of Bloontonium, especially for early-game, provided the opponent lacks cards that do high damage. Ideally, this Bloon should be played if the player's Bloontonium is low and the opponent is expected to hit it.
- Note that human opponents often will intentionally not damage this Bloon if there's other Bloons on your side or if they think you'll gain a significant advantage with the extra Bloontonium.
- Heroes that heavily rely on Bloontonium benefit the best from this Bloon, mainly those that require Bloontonium early on before spending expensive Bloons. Best choices include Adora, Mountain Obyn, and Striker Jones.
- The Bloon itself is too slow to be a threat unless it's avoided for too long, and can be controlled by the opponent to prevent reaching Bloontonium breakpoints. If it does get avoided for too long, its high health may be able to pressure the opponents.
- Against Quincy, his Perceptive Shot passive will activate the On Damaged effect. The card will give a total of 4 Bloontonium for the price of 3 Gold when played this way.
- It's hard to one-shot a Bloontonium Gas Bloon. Only a scaled Monkey with infinite scaling such as Spike-o-Pult is able to do this. Most of the time, you will need to give your opponent 2 to 3 Bloontonium total to pop a Bloontonium Gas Bloon.

A +30 health buff is a pretty big one, but this Bloon is so slow to the point where it doesn't really matter all that much, but it is much more consistent now and is more threatening if you don't deal with it, so hopefully this can make Bloontonium Gas Bloon see use on a couple Heroes.

Development
editBloontonium Gas Bloon was proposed to have its charges increased from 2 to 3 and Health increased from 150 to 160 in the Version 6.2 playtests, but Ninja Kiwi only kept the Health bonus.[1] The resulting balance change was deemed a minor but useful balance change by some playtesters.[2]
A further buff in Version 6.4 makes it a bit more threatening as a rush, while not fundamentally changing the purpose of the card.[3]
